Hi! Welcome to my blog!
My name is Igor Rakhmanov. I graduated from the Novosibirsk State University with a master’s degree in biology (major in microbiology) in the former Soviet Union. In 2000, my family and I moved to Canada, where I got interested in the market and started trading. Over the past years I entered and successfully passed all exams in the following education programs:
Canadian Securities Institute
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Canadian Securities Course
Market Technicians Association (MTA)
CMT (Chartered Market Technician) Program
Levels 1 – 3
In 2012-2015 I was a contributor to Investing.com and have over 170 technical analysis articles published. If you are interested you can find them here.
I also manage my family members’ money. The annual rate of return after commissions on the managed account for the last four years (2013-2016) was 10.4%, 24.9%, 12.3% and 10.0%, respectively.
My approach to the trading is based on identifying the tradable opportunities by analysing relative changes in the quantified price/volume structure.
I am planning to build this blog as a collection of charts showing the most probable scenario of the future price action based on my work. Let me be clear here, nobody knows where the price is going to be in a week, in a day or 5 minutes from now. However, at some point in time, some scenarios become more probable than others. The trader’s job is to identify such moments and trade the scenario with the best chances for success.
I will mark the levels (invalidation points) on my charts which the price shouldn’t reach to keep the potential scenario in play.
I am not going to overload my blog with technical details, just share my view on the unfolding price action searching for profitable trading opportunities.
I am not a registered financial advisor, so this blog is for the educational and informational purposes only. Use it for ideas and then form your own opinion. Read “Disclaimer”.
